Fred & Lyn from Two Dogs and an Awning visit Hill Farm CL in Somerset
From Hill Farm CL they walked to the nearby attractive villages of Hinton St George, the birth place of Fred’s 3 x Great Grandfather, Dowlish Wake with its 17th century packhorse bridge and Chillington.
It was just a short drive for them to start walks from Lambert’s Castle, Chard Reservoir and the stunning hill fort at Pilsdon Hill where their walk included visiting the highest point in Dorset on Lewesdon Hill.
No trip to this area is complete without a visit to Lyme Regis and a fish and chip supper looking out to sea as per the photo.
Full descriptions of their walks, with pictures and maps can be found here
About Hill Farm: Fred says “This was a very well kept site and we received the warmest of welcomes from the site owners Donald and Cynthia who provided a lot of local information and recommend their favourite fish and chip shop in Lyme Regis. We were treated to some stunning sunsets during our stay”. Book Hill Farm HERE
