Drumbhan is situated a couple of miles outside the village of Bonar Bridge. The site is on a hill which gives panoramic views to the south towards Loch Migdale, the Kyle of Sutherland and further on to Ben Wyvis. Bonar Bridge has shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants within easy reach. There are plenty of golf courses (including Royal Dornoch) and fishing close by. The quiet country roads are excellent for bikes and there are a range of mountain bike trails at Carbisdale and Golspie. Walkers are well catered for with low level walks nearby and some challenging hills not too far away. The area is ideal for touring the north and west coasts - John O'Groats is about 2 hours drive and the hills of the west are about the same. There are castles, beaches and distilleries a plenty to visit. Inverness and Loch Ness are about an hours drive south. You can even complete the much lauded and very scenic North Coast 500 in a series of day trips. Drumbhan is a working croft with a flock of North Country Cheviot sheep.
