Having run a CL down south for seven happy years we’d like to think we have discovered just what it takes to make each and every person’s holiday a real treat. They say location is everything! Well, your stay on Fieldgate Cottage CL might just prove that saying. From here you are within a short distance of the famous resort of Southwold (6 miles), the glorious unspoilt beach at Dunwich (7 miles), the market town of Beccles - the gateway to the Broads (7 miles), the popular seaside town of Lowestoft (13 miles) and the charming village of Halesworth (5 miles). Halesworth offers several pubs, plenty of shops and cafes, and a lovely park if you fancy a peaceful stroll. Whatever your favourite holiday pastime, Fieldgate Cottage CL provides the ideal base. Close at hand there are nature reserves, such as the wonderful bird sanctuary at RPSB Minsmere, golf courses in Southwold and Halesworth, or boating on the Broads. Fieldgate Cottage CL is a bijou garden site, with just two large grass pitches for caravan and motorhome owners who prefer to avoid the larger and busier sites, as well as a hardstanding area to accommodate the occasional motorhome needing a short overnight stop. Our grass pitches are 11 metres long, providing plenty of space for larger outfits. Fresh water, chemical waste disposal, and electric hook up available for all pitches. We welcome doggy visitors, but they must be kept on a lead at all times. What’s more, the site offers unspoiled field views, glorious sunrises and sunsets, as well as frequent visits from pheasants, wild birds of every type, and the occasional rabbit! One little note to mention - our neighbours breed spaniels, which can be a tad excitable, particularly at mealtimes, so if you have sensitive ears, you have been warned!
