Dark Orchard is a quiet, level, well sheltered site with 5 grass pitches spread over a 2½ acre site, with plenty of space for awnings and pup tents etc. Access to local footpath network is direct from the site, including the Wye Valley Walk and Offa’s Dyke Paths. There is a 2 mile circular river-side walk from the site, all dog and wheelchair friendly. Tucked away on the edge of Hay-on-Wye, yet only a 5 minute walk into the town centre with all its pubs, restaurants, cafes, shops, venues and other attractions. The local Co-op Supermarket is a 5 minute walk from site, there is lively produce market every Thursday morning. Hay-on-Wye is world renown as the "the town of books", as well as for the annual Hay Festival of Literature and the HowTheLightGetsIn festival, both held at the end of May. The town is ideally situated for visiting the Brecon Beacons National Park, Herefordshire and the Welsh Marches. Hay Castle is now reopen following an extensive renovation.
