Lower Dutson Farm is located just 2 miles from Launceston (or Lanson!) the historic capital and 'Gateway to Cornwall' with its very own Norman Castle and Steam Railway. Get up late and enjoy an all day breakfast at Homeleigh Garden Centre just 400m away or spend the day on site overlooking our pretty 0.75 acre sheltered lake. The site's central location offers easy access to both the North and the South Coast, as well as popular attractions in Devon and Cornwall such as Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor and the Eden Project. The site is open all year round and has some hard-standing. Members are welcome to arrive at any time but please be considerate of other guests. The site has been open since the 1960s and was used as a brickworks in the late 19th Century. You are welcome to fish the coarse lake as well as the River Tamar at a discounted rate. The coarse fishing lake is stocked with mirror and common carp (some weighing over 20lb), tench, bream, roach, perch and rudd. There is no closed season. Our 1.2km stretch of the River Tamar is popular for salmon, trout and grayling. (Salmon fishing season is the 1 March - 14 October, trout season is the 15 March - 30 September and grayling season is the 16 June - 31 October). Guests and pets are welcome to take a stroll down through our fields to the River Tamar, we ask that dogs are on a lead when going through fields with livestock please. We are just 3 miles from the A30. To find us, take the Launceston exit on the A30 and follow A388 towards Holsworthy. After passing through Dutson turn right by the Club's sign, 300 metres further down the main road from Lower Dutson Farm entrance. Self-catering holiday accommodation is also available. Coarse and river game fishing is £6 per day or £25 for the week a discounted rate for Club members. There is a 18 hole golf course two miles away.
