Welcome to our quiet CL on our small sheep and cattle farm next to the river Witham. We very much hope you enjoy your stay with us. If you visit from August 2014 you will see we have added a summerhouse which contains details of things to do and see locally. It also has maps of the four walks you can enjoy from the CL, all on quiet, picturesque lanes. Barkston has a petrol station with a well stocked shop and garage and The Stag Inn serves good food. The village is on the A607 with good links to the A1, Lincoln and Sleaford. Syston Park farm shop is a mile away and has a restaurant and PYO. Within two miles is National Trust property Belton House - well worth a visit. Belton also boasts two well appointed golf courses. Grantham is four miles away. Discover where Isaac Newton went to school, where Margaret Thatcher grew up and the country's only living pub sign, The Beehive Inn. Slightly further afield is Belvoir Castle, Isaac Newton's birthplace Woolsthorpe Manor (National Trust property - see the famous apple tree) and Easton Walled Gardens. Lincoln boasts it's famous Cathedral, Castle and much more. Newark is a fine market town with much history. Lincolnshire is "Bomber County" and there is much to see, in particular the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight. Dogs very welcome, good walks nearby Please see our Facebook page for more details.
