CL of the Year Award 2010 - Regional Winner Our site is perfect Winter & Summer & we look forward to welcoming you. Our CL is a quiet secluded adults only 2.5 acre lawned field, with electric hook-up facilities. Set in the heart of the Sussex countryside with views across to the South Downs and adjoining Sussex Weald. Opened in 1981, the CL has been landscaped with a variety of specimen trees and shrubs, overlooking a wild flower meadow. The site has won 3 awards being placed 2nd in the 'CL of the Year Award' in 1991 and winners of the 'Regional Award' in 2003 and 2010.  For members who enjoy winter caravanning hard standing areas are available overlooking the CL field. The site is excellent for walking and the nearby picturesque village of Cuckfield which offer shops, pubs and restaurants can be reached by an enjoyable walk across fields. The South Downs, Ditchling Beacon, Jack and Jill Windmills and Ashdown Forest are all within easy reach from the site. Beautiful gardens and National Trust properties including Nymans, Wakehurst Place, Sheffield Park gardens and Leonardslee Lakes and Gardens are all nearby. Also of great interest is the famous Bluebell Railway, where daily trips of nostalgia can be enjoyed.  Strictly 1 dog only by prior arrangement with the owner. We charge £3.00 per night for a dog which is then donated to Sussex Air Ambulance. Minimum 2 night stay.  Sorry no groundsheets. Motorhomes - hardstanding only.
