Hill Farm is a countryside site with fantastic rural views across Somerset and as far as Exmoor. In fine weather sunsets are stunning followed by clear starry nights without light pollution (see photos). This is a peaceful site which cannot be seen from the road and without passing traffic except for the farmers. Access is easy with no narrow lanes to negotiate. The site is over an acre of mown grass (some say lawned) with a central stone access. There is plenty of room to spread out for BBQs and for games. There is a traditional orchard at the lower end and members can sample local varieties of fruit in the autumn. Hill Farm is in South Somerset near both the A30 and A303 and within 5 miles of Devon and Dorset in either direction. It's equal distance (3 to 4 miles) from the market towns of Chard, Ilminster and Crewkerne. It is an excellent base to stop over for a night or two on route further South West or stay and see the riches the area has to offer.

It will not work on your computerOur CL is within a 30 minute drive of the Jurassic Coast and the picturesque resorts of Lyme Regis, West Bay, Beer, etc. It's an ideal base to visit National Trust properties in South Somerset including Montacute, Barrington Court and Tintinhull. Also glorious privately owned gardens at Forde Abbey, Mapperton, etc. There's plenty to do locally if the weather is not so good like the Fleet Air Arm Museum, Haynes International Motor Museum, Perrys Cider. Discover the local market towns which have many small independent shops and have become a centre for antiques with the well-known Lawrence Auction House in Crewkerne. For those who enjoy walking there are footpaths to the nearby villages and cyclists can join the Sustrans route 30 which can take you through the lanes to Monacute and Barrington or onto the Somerset Levels.
