My CL is a quiet site, on a working farm in the centre of a beautiful village in the Vale of York. Adults, children and a maximum of two dogs are welcome. The site is located in a large field near the farmstead just off the village street, and in the same field is the village cricket circle and pavilion where visitors are always welcome. The pitches are flat, lawned on good draining soil, and all have electric hook-ups. York, Yorkshire Dales and Moors, country houses and National Trust properties and market towns such as Harrogate, Knaresborough, Ripon, and Helmsley are all within easy reach of the site. There are several golf courses and fishing lakes nearby and Alne has a large playing field with tennis courts and a play area. Route 65 cycle way runs through the village and gives access to York for cyclists. We are also on a bus route to York. We have a small fam shop selling our own Aberdeen Angus beef, eggs, honey and other local produce together with a lovely cafe serving homemade cakes and drinks.
