Why stay here ... Our small working sheep farm and CL site is situated in the beautiful south east Cornish countryside in an area of great landscape value. Ashdon Farm is south facing giving uninterrupted, panoramic views over our 100 acres of pasture meadows and woodland. The caravan site itself consists of one acre of land, which is closely mown with hard standing pitches and electric hook-ups (16A). Motor homes are welcome, as are pets. Battery charging is available. The site is adjacent to our beautiful woodland and lakes where you can walk the dogs or sit and enjoy the wildlife and watch the woodpecker or kingfisher which visits regularly. What to do during your stay: We are located on the border between Cornwall and Devon, providing an ideal base to explore both counties on day trips. The surrounding countryside is ideal for walkers. we also have the Tamar Valley Line Railway and River cruises up the River Tamar. The Local National Trust properties include Cotehele House just ten minutes drive away. Antony House, Lanhydrock House, The Eden Project, Lost Gardens of Heligan, Mount Edgcumbe, The Garden House, Buckland Abbey, the home of Sir Francis Drake, Dartmoor and Bodmin Moors are easily reached within 30-45 minutes. There are a number of cycle trials within 15-40 minutes drive away including Tamar trials, Seaton Valley, Drakes trial, Cardinham Woods, Camel Trail and Pentewan Valley Trails. Places to Eat: The Weary Friar Inn, Pillaton and the Who'd of thought it Inn, St Dominick are both a convenient 5 minutes drive away, open 7 days a week. Local Shops and Services: Callington is a small town located 2 miles away that has a Tesco store and Petrol station, B&M, Post office, Newsagents and pubs.
