It will not work on your computerWelcome to riverside Pershore in South Worcestershire! An elegant, Georgian town on the banks of the River Avon that's surrounded by pretty garden villages for a wealth of walks, cycling and exploring. It's a delightful, picturesque area with a huge choice of places to visit, such as the majestic Pershore Abbey (1-mile), NT Croome (5-miles) and Bredon Hill AONB (2-miles) - all within 20-minutes of junction 7 or 9 of the M5. Easy reach of Birmingham and the West Midlands, Cheltenham for the Gold Cup racing (20-miles), Malvern for its RHS Shows (30-mins), the Cotswolds (Broadway, 20-mins), Tewkesbury (15-mins), Upton-upon-Severn (15-mins) and Worcester (10-miles). Pershore is an elegant Georgian town situated on the banks of the River Avon. It's less than a mile away over Pershore Bridge (0.3m), a popular starting place for walks along the river. A visit to our majestic Pershore Abbey is a must, plus the pretty neighbouring village of Wick (The Natural Confetti Company's 'Flower Fields'), plus the villages nestled at the foot of Bredon Hill. The town attracts many visitors throughout the year to its its various carnivals and events, including the Pershore Plum Festival (August Bank Holiday), Midsummer Brass (July) and Jazz Festivals (Aug), Pershore Open Gardens (June) and Wick's Natural Confetti Company Flower Fields (early July). Pershore boasts a great array of eateries and pubs, the nearest being a riverside pub (0.6-mile walk) and there are plenty more charming country pubs situated in the idyllic nearby villages, particularly those nestled at the foot of Bredon Hill. Adventurous walkers can follow the Millennium Way FP to Tiddesley Wood with a choice of 6 or 8-mile circular routes that return through the town. The 45-mile-long Wychavon Way goes past our northern boundary and goes over Bredon Hill en-route to its final destination of Broadway. It offers a picturesque walk along Pensham fields and the River Avon into Great Comberton village before ascending up Bredon Hill (circa 3.5/4-miles). One of our favourite walks is a seven mile circular from the CL via Great Comberton and Nafford Lock to the beautiful village of Birlingham for lunch at the Swan Inn for its super fish board. Or continue to Eckington Bridge for The Bell. Cyclists will love the 19-mile loop through the beautiful villages at the foot of Bredon Hill. Just 100m from our gates is the apex of the Little and Great Combertons road. Choose one and return via the other. Confident cyclists can continue onto Broadway and the Cotswolds. Take in the views of the Malverns on the 5-mile cycle to NT Croome at Croome D'Abitot. Confident cyclists will enjoy following the National Cycling Route onto Upton-upon-Severn, Worcester or Evesham. We offer all guests a comprehensive welcome and information folder upon arrival providing several ideas on what to do by foot, by bike or by car. This includes walking trails, cycling routes across the Vale of Evesham. Emily is on hand for ideas and suggestions. We also offer our delightful and beautifully presented Courtyard Cottage holiday let with one double bedroom, lounge/sitting room, fully equipped kitchen plus morning and evening outside sitting areas. Ideal for meeting up with non-caravanning friends. Sorry no pets.
