Meet The Owners - High Farm Beadlam Rigg

Ailsa Teasdale and her husband Ian farm just 188 acres, high on the North York Moors National Park.  In fact, if you have watched ‘The Yorkshire Vet’ on TV you may well have spotted them.  Although smaller than the average UK farm, they pack a lot into their holding by growing Barley, Wheat and Oats, mainly for their 60 cattle and 300 sheep or for sale to other animal feed manufacturers.

Their CL site has stunning views over Ryedale to the South and is the ideal place for walking, cycling, taking the dogs and getting away from it all, with off road routes direct from the site to the heather moorland and even better panoramic views within 1 mile and much more beyond.  No wonder the CL is very popular and has lots of 5-star reviews.  Providing hardstanding (if required), Electric Hook Up, free WiFi and a WC/Shower it is excellent value for money at just £24/night.

Whilst Ian spends a good part of the week when he’s not farming being an Agricultural Engineer, Ailsa looks after 2 small children, the farm, the CL and their two holiday lets.  CL Booking now allows you to filter your searches for the CLs that offer additional accommodation like this, which is ideal if you wish to holiday with friends or relations who don’t own a van.

Don’t miss Ian and Ailsa’s pride and joy (apart from their children!) their 30 pedigree British Rouge sheep which are regular prize-winners at Agricultural shows.
