Although CL sites, particularly those that include Electric Hook Up (EHU) in their pitch fees, may be revising their prices for 2023, CL sites in general provide excellent value for money. CL Booking conducted research last year and discovered that the average price across the 2,231 sites surveyed was only £14.25. The average price for off-grid sites was £8.35, while the price for EHU sites was £15.37. Most CLs prefer to keep their pricing as simple as possible and thus do not charge for extras; however, each one is unique, so check with the CL owner before booking.

Contrary to some unfounded rumours that have recently circulated on social media, the club never recommends to a CL what price they should charge members. Each CL is a self-contained business that will consider its costs, what it offers, and price its pitches accordingly.

Expect to see more CLs metering the EHU supply to the pitch in 2023 (many have been doing so for a while) and many requiring a deposit when booking in 2023. In this new economy, times are changing, and if the CL is to survive, it must be economically justifiable.

But I think we can all agree that staying on a CL is a priceless experience because of the exclusivity of a 5-van site, the welcoming owners, the personal touch, and the uniqueness of these sites across the UK.
