The importance of visiting countryside pubs.

When choosing a site for your caravan or motorhome holiday, a pub within walking distance is often high on the list of priorities.  Even if you rarely visit a pub when at home, most people would like to have a drink or meal away from the confines of their van when touring.

But pubs are facing a massive challenge with energy and wage inflation, and it is predicted that thousands of village pubs, which managed to survive the pandemic, are now considering whether they can keep the beer cold and offer a warm welcome to villagers and visitors alike.

If you plan on going out and about over the next few months, please make a point of stopping at a pub that is located in close proximity to the CL and letting the staff there know where you will be staying. It’s a case of use or lose, and the same may be true for your local village pub.

It has been estimated that a village pub can add between £3,000 and £5,000 to the value of a home, which means that if you can keep it running, it could be beneficial to you in the long run.
