Set in beautiful Devon countryside only 1 mile from Holsworthy with its weekly farmers market and shops selling local produce along with a Waitrose for those extra items. There are plenty of good local pubs that serve quality food at a reasonable price and are within easy walking distance. The nearest beach is Bude or Widemouth which are 8 miles away and a little further is Boscastle, Tintagel, Crackington Haven, Sandymouth and Duckpool. Higher Shorston Lakes offers 19 acres of grounds, three Coarse fishing lakes (day tickets available) and a small area of river frontage. There is a play area and 2 toilets with showers. There is an abundance of wildlife to see including ducks, geese, an occasional deer and chickens. Free range eggs available on request. All pitches are hard standing and measure 10 mtrs x 6 mtrs allowing enough space for a caravan/camper plus awning. You will also have your own grassed area adjacent to your pitch.
£20 per night (November to March) £25 per night (April to October) £30 per night for a single night Booking. Metered Electricity is charged at Current Rate (Currently 30p per kwh) Charges include Caravan/Motorhome with 2 people and max 2 Dogs. (Extras are £2.50 per child/adult)
We have 3 eco-friendly, detached, contemporary lodges with grass roofs. They have been built to high specifications and finished to a very good standard. The spacious open plan living areas have lovely views across the top lake, and the French doors lead to a decked area. Primrose and Bluebell Lodges sleep 4 people and Foxglove Lodge sleeps 6 people. We have a very tight Entrance to the site. We would advise against Caravans/Motorhomes over 7.5 Metres and also suggest larger units require 4 wheel Drive as the pitches are cut into a slope.
