There are 2 local pubs within a mile of Lakeside, both are excellent, serving food and drinks. The Yew Tree is in Ednaston village and the Red Lion in Hollington village, which is located by turning left out of Lakeside Meadow. The Saracens Head, in the neighbouring village of Shirley is renowned for it's wonderful menu and cuisine. The picturesque town of Ashbourne is just 6 miles away, with its winding cobbled streets, market place and Tudor & Georgian heritage, along with more than 200 listed buildings. Browse the many antique shops, designer fashion stores and individual retailers, before enjoying a well deserved coffee, lunch or afternoon tea in one of the many cafes and tea rooms. Or maybe enjoy a drink or 2 in the local pubs or wine bar.
